Here are a few things I learned about Hayden while photographing him and his family for his 2024 High School Graduation:
- His favourite subject is Pre-Calculus. Really? My teenage helper couldn't disagree more.
- He loves track and his race is the sprint! I admire that as I used to be a long-distance runner. The bear would eat me first.
- He's good at doing the opposite of what he's told, and it's humorously intentional. I admit it took me a minute to catch on!
- He doesn't drink saying, "Alcohol smells like divorce." I laughed at how true that could be and how unexpected it was.
- He is part of a wonderful family with excellent style and a sense of humour. I appreciate the opportunity to capture these fantastic spirits!
Since the outdoor track at Carlton is under construction, we took to the indoor track at Alfred Jenkins Field House for the first part of our shoot. I appreciate them allowing us to use the space, and for the couple of track goers who didn't mind us being there.
Then we moved over to PACI where someone in the neighbourhood yelled out a window that the Edmonton Oilers won game 6. I was excited. they were like "So they're going to the Grey Cup?" Haha.
It was my first time capturing the beautiful mosaic at PACI and I think it worked well. I love how Mom and Dad appear quite angelic with their coincidental halos.
Good luck at the University of Saskatchewan next year! I'm sure you will do well in Engineering.
